Inventor - Design Engineers x3
£24 - £30 per hour (May increase - Negotiable dependant on experience)

One of our largest Defence clients requires three Mechanical Design Engineers with a sound understanding of Inventor R11 software to work on two large military projects. The Design Engineers will have at least 2 years design experience within a military or automotive environment and be comfortable producing 3D Designs to cost for manufacture.
These positions are crucial to the efficiency and performance of my clients drawing office and new Military Shelter Programmes. Due to the nature of the work the Inventor Design Engineers must be British or already have SC clearance. My client offers excellent stability with lengthy contracts after an initial 3 month approval along with a very competitive hourly rate.

3 – 12 month contracts on offer
40 hours + over time available
Commutable from Peterborough / Bedford / Cambridge / Thetford
To apply for this position you must have at least a HND in mechanical engineering, however degree qualified applicants will be favoured. You will have knowledge of drawing systems, product structures, build standards and military control.
On a daily basis the Inventor Design Engineers will produce;
- Specific design tasks to achieve engineering outputs to programme, cost and specification
- To generate 2D and 3D( AutoCAD Inventor R11) conceptual model and detail designs
- Drawings, items lists, product structures, Bills of Materials,
acceptance test schedules and release them for use by other departments
- To design using latest technologies and development techniques such as DFM
- Design products that are safe and meet all statutory requirements
The Design Engineers on site earn between £24 and £30 per hour depending on their experiences.
