Design Engineer x3
£25 - £35 per hour (dependant on experience)
6 month minimum contract
40 hours + overtime, 4 day week available

One of our leading automotive clients require a highly motivated and skilled 3D CAD / Project Design preferably with a sound understanding of Solid Works or Solid Edge. These positions are crucial to the efficiency and performance of my clients drawing office.
The Design Engineers will have at least 2 years sensor design experience preferably from the automotive industry and those with project management / project engineering experience will be strongly favoured and warrant a higher hourly rate.
The aspects of the role will involve product design and development of sensors for the following applications; exhaust gas recirculation, throttle position, pedal actuators, belt tension and many more similar sensors.
Project Design Engineer
£25 - £35 per hour (dependant on experience)

To apply for this position you will have experience as an Automotive or Aerospace Design Engineer. You will have experience of a 3D design package preferably Solid Works or Solid Edge, using quality tools such as FMEA, and working on full life cycle design and development projects. The chosen Design Engineers will have experience working to APQP and TS16949 standards.
Daily Job Description
- New Product design using 3D CAD modelling system
- Sensor design from initial RFQ from customer through to hand over at production phase
- Presentation of designs, calculations, DFMEA’S
- Involvement in client facing visits
- Identify and design in low cost materials from low cost countries
The Contract Design Engineers on site earn between £20 and £25 per hour depending on their experiences. Those with quality and project engineering experience are earning up to £35 per hour.
