Hydrodynamics Software Developer
West Sussex, UK
£30,000 - £45,000
As a hydrodynamics software developer, applicants will be required to become a member of the core AQWA product creation team. AQWA is a computer program designed by ANSYS for the hydrodynamic assessment of all types of off-shore/marine structures.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Research and development of core hydrodynamics technology
• Implementation, verification and validation of new product features
• Planning and progress reporting
• Maintenance of released product features.
Applicants must obtain the following:
• Good honours degree in Mathematics/Physics/IT/Engineering
• An excellent ability to write in code
• Excellent knowledge of Fortran
• Knowledge of C++
• Excellent communication/client facing skills
Ideally, the suitable candidate will have a passion for programming, with knowledge of AQWA and ANSYS. A candidate who is motivated by job satisfaction and has an ambition to progress would also be well suited.

With a salary ranging from £30,000-£45,000 (negotiable increase dependent on experience), the client is a subsidiary of Ansys Inc who operates on an international scale throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
The client has offices in England, California, The Netherlands and Texas, and service a wide spectrum of industries including aerospace, automotive, defense, education, marine, offshore, petrochemical, power and security. They design, develop and support advanced engineering and scientific simulation software.
