Data Support Analyst / Project Technical Lead

We require an experienced data support analyst immediately to work for one of our most prestigious UK consultancies. Looking to pay a very competitive negotiable daily rate along with free accommodation and much more !
The chosen Data Support Technical Lead will have extensive experience of the following;
- Technical Documentation and report writing ability
- Data rationalizing and optimisation
- Data room design and support
- UNIX scripting and power tools
- Data manipulation
On a Daily Basis you will :
- Preparation of seismic and well data for input to seismic workstation projects, including extraction and manipulation of data from company's databases and external sources
- Administration of data in collaboration with users, data managers, and system administrators
- Contact with external data vendors
- Refinement and development of techniques and procedures for efficient handling of data all through the data cycle
- Ad hoc UNIX script programming
- Ensuring compliance with policies and that jobs are completed in a cost effective way

The Data Support Analyst will report into the CEO of my client but have complete freedom running their own projects along. Applicants will hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in geology/geophysics. They will have experience of data loading, along with administration of seismic workstation data knowledge. Proven experience in the landmark open works software suite software products is preferred along with outstanding UNIX network experience and knowledge.
