£22,000 - £30,000 + pension + bonus + benefits

My client, a leading supplier to a number of diverse industries has a requirement for a mechanical design engineer to join their team in South Wales on a permanent basis. The successful designer will receive a competitive salary, relative to your experience (graduate with one year £22,000, time served engineer with 10 years up to £30,000) plus a comprehensive benefits package.
Applicants must have a strong background in 2-D and 3-D CAD, experience of UNIGRAPHICS NX5 would be an advantage however my client may look at others design engineers with a variety of 3D design skills.
Reporting directly to the drawing office manager, main responsibilities will include:-
- Producing mechanical designs for special purpose machinery
- Preparation of Engineering drawings using UNIGRAPHICS NX5
- Provide technical support within the Manufacturing process when the situation arises
- Self management / planning of projects
