Due to continued demand for their excellent products my South Wales based client urgently requires an experienced Development Project Engineer. To apply for this role it is essential that you have experience from one of the following;
• Automotive Batteries
• Nickel Cells
• VRLA
• NiCAD
• Charges
They have been established for 40 years + and employ nearly 100 at their Welsh site. They currently require a Development Project Engineer to start and help expand their product. To apply for this position you will have at least 5 years battery experience as a development engineer. New Product Introduction is essential along with Project management / control. You will have a good understanding of lean manufacturing as well as FMEA. You must be familiar with ISO 14001 and 9001. Any 2-d and 3-d design experience is desirable. Those applicants with NiCAD and VRLA battery experience will be strongly favoured, however all other applicants are welcome.
On a daily basis you will work closely with both the production and manufacturing departments. Working beside the design department you will utilise your FMEA skills and development experience to help develop designs and continuously improve the product.
