Due to continued success and growth, one of our most prestigious scientific engineering clients have an immediate requirement for a Software Developer with good impact dynamics /shock physics experience.
This position is filled with opportunity to progress your career and develop your software skills. An outstanding opportunity for someone who has recently completed their PhD or perhaps candidates with three years or more working experience.
Reporting directly to a senior developer, you will be working with other computational physicists, mathematicians and specialist scientific engineers. Working on leading future core research and helping develop projects, you will want to progress through the company and contribute to the maintenance of the software code.
To apply for this position the Impact / Shock Physics Software Developer must have be degree qualified with 2 years work experience or hold a PhD. Due to the nature of the work you must be from the EU or the United States, OTHERS DON’T APPLY. Good knowledge of FEA is preferred but my client will look at those with CFD. Working knowledge of Windows is preferred however Linux operating knowledge will be taken into account. Applicants will have Fortran 90/95, C/C++ as well as excellent communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with impact dynamics / shock physics.
Software Developer - Explicit/Impact Dynamics

On a day to day basis your duties will include:
• Research and development in relation to explicit transient dynamic simulation software
• Implementation, verification and validation of new product features
• Planning and progress reporting
• Maintenance of released product features
• Provision of advanced customer support and training
• Other job related duties that may be assigned by management from time to time
