Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Role:
Working as an integral part of the new product design team, you will be responsible for devising mechanical enclosures to house new products using a variety of materials from proof of concept through to manufacture. Using state of the art technologies (3DCAD design) and analysis tools such as (Flotherm and Ansys), Responsible for designing and specifying parts and assemblies as well as producing the relevant technical documentation.
Work closely with the procurement teams ensuring that they are aware of the latest advances in materials in order to produce world beating products.
The Person:
Minimum academic qualification BEng, ideally MEng / MSC
Practical experience of conceptual design, ideally gained within an electronics packaging environment
Working knowledge of plastic part and / or casting / sheet metal design
Experience of using 3D CAD design tools
Demonstrable experience of writing mechanical specifications
Willingness to be a part of a leading edge design facility
Good communication skills, both oral and written
Team player, capable of seeing and articulating the big picture.
