Position: Senior Power Grid Interface Engineer
£60,000 plus Benefits including:-

The Role:
This role is responsible for ensuring that grid-tied inverter systems for photovoltaic and other
renewable energy applications meet both the global and local technical standards necessary for
successful grid interfacing. The role will require a keen, commercial understanding of the technicalrequirements and standards for power grid connection worldwide and the ability to determine their
impact on inverter product specifications. This will include tracking and analysing existing standards,
managing the testing and certification process utilising both internal and external resources. Working with the strategic planning teams, the role will contribute to the specification and development of new products in order to meet both current and future requirements by progressing new product design from concept and modelling through prototyping, testing and third-party approvals through to production.
The Person:
BEng or MEng in either electrical and/or electronic engineering, or equivalent, with a power or power electronics bias
Practical experience of power electronics analysis and modelling at either system or component
level.
Working knowledge of power grid interaction of inverters or generators
Experience of power grid technologies, including grid tied inverter technical standards, conformance
and certification requirements, and the management of approval testing
Good communication skills, oral and written
Willingness to be a part of a leading edge design facility
Good communication skills both oral and written
Team player, capable of seeing and articulating the big picture.
