Lead Electrical Engineer (Sustaining engineer)-Mid Wales
Our client is an engineered and product solutions company with a globally renowned reputation. The company has recently undergone a multimillion pound investment and is looking to expand on their IT research and development teams.
Intapeople are looking an experienced electronic engineer to join a world renowned, growing company. The successful candidate’s primary role will be to investigate the root cause of product reliability and implement the necessary corrective action (e.g. design change, recommending manufacturing process change etc).
The department itself is split into smaller teams consisting of an engineer, a technician and a graduate engineer. As a result the successful candidate will be expected to pass on their experience to junior members of staff to help with the growth and progression of the company.
Some of the responsibilities are as follows:
- To chair the product quality improvement pipeline to establish the correct order of projects.
- To work closely with the original designers, vendors, product support and manufacturing to establish the root cause of product reliability.
- To work with other members of the global sustaining engineering and broader engineering and design teams around the world.
Any commercial experience in the following areas are highly desirable.
- Demonstrable experience of motor drive products and applications
- Knowledge of electronic circuit and component design and the associated manufacturing processes
- Hands on experience of design implementation
- Willingness to be a part of a leading edge design facility
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Team player, capable of seeing and articulating the big picture.
