Position: Quality Manager (food)
Location: Mid Wales
Salary: £35K package
The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious career driven individual to join this successful food manufacturer who is a leading player within their sector.
Over the next 2 years the site will double in Size
The Opportunity:
To ensure that product manufactured on the site complies with food safety standards.
To ensure that the factory operations exceed the defined quality standards both in terms of product quality and manufacturing procedures and that all legislative requirements are met.
To promote quality awareness within the Management Team and all staff.
To maintain and implement the Company’s Quality Assurance Systems.
To manage the Quality Laboratory team and its operation.
To manage the Hygiene team and its operation.
Responsible for the management and development of the Laboratory and Hygiene operatives in accordance with legislation, company policies and best practice
Manages product quality and safety from raw materials to finished product and ensures products and processes comply with the Company’s standards and current food safety legislation
Maintains and implements the Company’s Food Hygiene Policy, Quality and HACCP systems/manuals
Assumes total responsibility for the quality activities of the site and is responsible for external Laboratory services and the reporting and monitoring of microbiological results.
Maintains BRC accreditation at the higher level and instil the principles into the culture of the Company
Carries out supplier audits within agreed protocols
Ensures that the Company’s Health & Safety, Food Safety and product quality policies are complied with in accordance with the required legal standards and requirements, carries out risk assessments as required by enforcement and regulatory bodies.
